Description

LITERATURE: History of the Printing Press, Children’s Lit Up to 1900- This course starts with ancient storytelling and moves through the history of the printing press to some of the greatest children’s literature that was written in the 1900th Century.  Students will be asked to do some preparation for the class- read the books on the list, since it is really hard for many kids to read books speedily.  


There will be projects or activities related to each time period covered.  Students will be invited to share what they learned and created on the last day of the term.


WRITING

Various writing projects including a student newspaper.

I have been involved in homeschool enrichment programs for over 10 years. I enjoy helping students learn to ask questions and dig for knowledge. My preferred system of learning is leading students in project-based studies in geography, science, art and ELA. My hobbies include ballroom dancing, art, music, and birding.
