Description

Wonders of the World Camp is an Academic Camp focused on Geography, Science and Art

 

Each day, students will be introduced to a set of wonders that are found around the globe.  That introduction will be accompanied by a discussion and World Exploration using Google Earth.  The rest of the day will be divided into three 90 minute study periods. 





* Research on a chosen wonder or related group of wonders

* Map-making or Stories

* Art





 We'll have a 1 hour lunch break and other short breaks as needed.




By the end of the week, students will have virtually travelled around the world, learning about many of the Wonders the World has to offer.

I have been involved in homeschool enrichment programs for over 10 years. I enjoy helping students learn to ask questions and dig for knowledge. My preferred system of learning is leading students in project-based studies in geography, science, art and ELA. My hobbies include ballroom dancing, art, music, and birding.
